Via a post on social media, the Pittsfield Police Department is asking for help from the public in the search for a missing woman.

Investigators from Pittsfield Police posted to their Facebook page just before 10 o'clock this morning asking for public’s assistance with locating 21-year-old Amani Armstrong.

Pittsfield Police including the following photo in their post. The attached photo is not recent and her hair may be darker at this time. Armstrong has been described as a 21-year-old black female.

According to Pittsfield Police ,Armstrong has been reported missing in New York State and a missing persons report has now been filed with the department locally.

Information from the department states could also be in the company of her infant son. Armstrong is from Yonkers, New York but has ties to Pittsfield.
