Between Tuesday, Mar. 30, and Wednesday, Mar. 31, the Pittsfield Police Department has received multiple reports of vandalism. Most of the property damage was apparently caused by the firing of BB and/or pellet guns.

The damage most likely occurred during the night time or early morning hours and cases have been reported throughout different parts of the city. No injuries have been reported at this time.

The Pittsfield Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance with solving these crimes. We are also asking any owners of residential or business video surveillance systems to review their footage and report any suspicious activity that may be tied to these acts.

Anyone who wishes to provide information regarding the vandalism is asked to contact the PPD Detective Bureau at 413-448-9705. Information can also be provided anonymously via the Detective Bureau Tip Line at 413-448-9706, or by texting PITTIP and your message to TIP411 (847411).
