Children's author Ty Allan Jackson who brought you "Danny Dollar", a book about financial literacy, is back with a new book and it's number 1 on the Amazon "New Releases In Children's Money" category.

Jackson was on "Slater and Marjo In The Morning" on Thursday to talk about his new book, "Make Your Own Money: How Kids Can Earn It, Save It, Spend It, and Dream Big".

While Jackson has embraced the financial literacy for children theme, this book is different for a couple of reasons.

First off, all of my books have been story-based, this book is really a guide, it's a blueprint, it's literally a step-by-step guide for kids on how they can make their own money and once they make it, what should they do with it?

How do they spend it, how do they save it?

The other big difference is that this is my very first published book. All of my books up to this point have been self-published.

Storey publishing based in North Adams, which is a subsidiary of Workman Publishing, reached out to me a couple of years ago and said to me that they have been watching my work and growth and we love this character Danny Dollar and we would love for you to expand it and write a book under our label.
