Pittsfield Woman Wins A Brand New 2026 Subaru

A Pittsfield woman, Lynn Whittaker, won her choice of a brand new 2026 Subaru on Saturday afternoon at the Berkshire Humane Society. The 13th annual "Choose Your Subaru" raffle culminated on Saturday with Whittaker's name being pulled just after 1:00 p.m.

Entrants had a 1 in 2400 chance of winning their choice of a new Subaru Crosstrek, Outback, or Forrester. Tickets individually went for $40 and three for $100. The annual fundraiser was a huge success this year, when for the first time, it had sold out of all 2400 tickets.

More than $80,000 was raised to help shelter animals via the "Choose Your Subaru" raffle this year. Berkshire Humane Society has an annual budget of more than $3 million, touching the lives of approximately 13,500 animals each year through adoption and surrender, medical care, spay/neuters, vaccine clinics, a Wellness Center, Pet Food Bank and Family Dog School.

“Haddad Subaru does so many great things for us,” said John Perreault, Executive Director of Berkshire Humane Society. “Each year they help us raise money with the Subaru raffle — our biggest fundraiser of the year. Last year they designated us as a hometown charity in their Share the Love event, for which they just presented us a check for $9,000. They also help us secure grants and they underwrite an animal adoption each week for up to $2,600 annually. On top of that, they tell their customers about us. -berkshirehumane.org

Whittaker received a call from Perrault on Saturday and was shocked to find out that she had won. She is currently working with Haddad Subaru to figure out which model works best for her.
