Rain, Thunderstorms Headed To Berkshires
Get ready to dig out the umbrellas, Berkshire County, because we've got a wet stretch heading our way.
Wednesday is shaping up to be the bigger story. Thunderstorms are expected with a high near 70 degrees, and there's an 80 percent chance of rain throughout the day. This isn't just a passing shower situation either. Forecasters are calling for potential heavy rainfall, with totals possibly topping an inch.

This kind of rain in a short window raises the risk of localized flooding, so if you're in a low-lying area or somewhere that's flooded before, it's worth keeping an eye on things Wednesday. Winds will be light out of the east, around 5 to 10 mph, and temperatures will drop to around 60 overnight.
Thursday brings more of the same, just maybe a little lighter. Rain is expected early in the day, then things stay cloudy with more showers moving in during the afternoon. The high will be close to 69 degrees, and there's another 80 percent chance of rain. The good news is Thursday's totals look much lighter, only around a quarter of an inch.
So basically, two rainy days in a row, but Wednesday is the one to watch closely given the flooding potential. If you've got outdoor plans this week, Wednesday might be the day to move them around.
This comes right on the heels of the city's water restriction news, which is a bit of an ironic twist considering how much rain is about to fall. Still, one storm won't undo a summer's worth of low reservoir levels.
