The Springs Inn on Route 7 in New Ashford, Massachusetts is getting a major facelift and you can watch it all unfold on TV.

The Magnolia Network, a collaboration between HGTV stars Chip & Joanna Gaines and their parents company Discovery Plus, is home to a new show called Inn the Works. The home improvement show, now in it's second season, features Lindsey Kurowski and her family as they buy and renovate old inns, lodges and motels and bring them back to life.

Season two of Inn the Works features none other than The Springs Inn right here in Berkshire County in all of it's mid century modern glory.

Kurowski is originally from Berkshire County, a Cheshire native, but has lived and worked in the L.A. area for about 12 years now.

The delipidated motor inn located just north of the former Brodie Mountain Ski Resort has storied past and has been in a state of limbo for the better part of the last two decades.

Prior to it's closing back in 2002 both the inn and accompanying restaurant were popular with both regulars and visitors to Berkshire County and was often at capacity during the ski season.

According to The Berkshire Eagle, in 2010 the inn was reopened after new owners purchased the property for $650,000 with the intentions of full renovations, but that never came to fruition. In 2019 the location was proposed as a marijuana cultivation, processing and dispensary establishment according to The Berkshire Eagle, but was shot down in the planning phases. Finally, after almost two decades and many changes in ownership, in July of 2021, real estate records show that Shri Swami Samarth Enterprise LLC sold the property at 94 Route 7, to Springs Motel LLC, $833,000.

Since Kurowski and her crew have jumped on board with the project film crews can often be seen on the Route 7 roadside property and new episodes can been seen Friday's on the Magnolia Network.
