2 Massachusetts Cities Make the "Safest Cities" list

A recent report by WalletHub named the safest cities in the United States for 2025, and two cities from Massachusetts made the list: Boston and Worcester. This study looked at over 180 cities, including the 150 most populated ones, and judged them based on things like crime rates, traffic accidents, natural disaster risks, and financial safety. Financial safety includes having jobs, health insurance, and low risks of fraud or homelessness. -nbcboston.com

Boston, MA

Boston ranked number 31 on the list. As a big city with a lot of history, Boston has busy streets, famous schools, and a mix of old and new neighborhoods. The city works hard to keep people safe with strong police presence and community programs. Its ranking shows it does a good job balancing safety in a bustling urban area. Boston also has a low unemployment rate, which helps people feel financially secure.

Worcester, MA

Worcester, ranked number 43, is another Massachusetts city on the list. Known as the "Heart of the Commonwealth," Worcester is smaller than Boston but has a growing economy and diverse communities. It has lower crime rates compared to some other cities its size, which helped it make the list. Worcester also focuses on keeping residents safe from things like traffic accidents and property crimes.

Both cities show that Massachusetts is home to places where people can feel safe and secure. As for the number one safest city in New England - Warwick, RI takes that spot.
