As a New Englander living in the Berkshires we all know it doesn’t matter if spring is 18 days away, Mother Nature will surely be dropping more of that white stuff from Great Barrington to North Adams before she decides to put the natural snowmachine away and let spring bloom.

1 to 3 Inches of Snow Overnight Tonight in the Berkshires

The February weather pattern delivered soaring temperatures at times only to drop significantly within hours.  Just a week ago I was driving on the Mass Pike and the outside temperature was registering 58 degrees, yet right in front of me were two DOT trucks spreading salt on the westbound lanes of RT-90.  I thought to myself 58 degrees and salting…I knew we were in for a major weather change.  Sure enough, the temps dropped 30 degrees within hours and snow began to fall. The Berkshires won’t have a drastic change this week, but AccuWeather is predicting 1 to 3 inches of snow overnight tonight into tomorrow.  According to the AccuWeather forecast, the temps won’t get above freezing until sometime this weekend.

You've made it this far so a little more snow shouldn't tip you over the edge.  Save that freakout for the foot of snow we're likely to get in April.

The complete AccuWeather forecast is below…

Tonight:   snow at times, accumulating 1-3 inches. Low 25.

Tomorrow:  mostly cloudy, breezy and colder. High 29. Low tomorrow night 5.

Friday:    partly sunny and cold. High 29. Low Friday night 10.

Saturday:  not as cold with times of clouds and sun; an afternoon shower in spots.       High 37. Low Saturday night 30.

Sunday:    milder with occasional rain. High 58. Low Sunday night 43.
