It's crazy to think that we're already almost halfway through February, but it's looking like the New England region and specifically in Massachusetts, we're looking a pretty good amount of snow that may be coming down on the Bay State for Tuesday (2/13). So, while a lot of us may be seeing a decent amount of the white stuff this week, it brings up a good question: What Massachusetts cities and towns get the most snow on a yearly basis?
This actually happened to me several winters ago. And it's a story that I love sharing with people. It might save you the cost of a potentially hefty fine.
Winter is a fact of life here in Massachusetts. Even though the groundhog claims he predicted an "Early Spring." But we all know what ends up happening in the end. More snow in the forecast for the Baystate?
While some people want to escape the Winter weather as the temperatures drop and the snow is here with some more to come in the New England region, there is plenty in Massachusetts to embrace. Sure, there are the bigger cities on the eastern side of the state that are great spots during the Winter months. But what about on the western side of the state? As it turns out, one town in western Massachusetts is among the most beautiful Winter towns throughout all of the country.
The New England states aren't exactly known for having warm winters. However, in Massachusetts, so far this Winter, we have lucked out. Sorry for jinxing us. In fact, we typically get some of the more brutal temperatures throughout the country during the winter months. As the temperatures have recently dipped a bit as we creep deeper into Winter, if you had to guess, what would you say would be the coldest town in Massachusetts? You may be surprised to learn exactly where that spot is.
It's that unique time of year in Massachusetts as we on the cusp of Winter officially being here as we count down the days until Christmas! It just so happens that during this time of year, there are some spots throughout the Bay State that seem to 'come alive in Winter'. As if they're the perfect spot to enjoy such a time of year. One of those spots happens to be on the western side of the state.
