One of my favorite summertime activities in Berkshire County is swimming, particularly in waterfalls. Waterfalls have always fascinated me. As I have mentioned in the past, some of my favorites include Bellevue Falls and Peck's Falls, both in the town of Adams. While I can swim in both of these waterfalls, there are others where I can only watch, like Bash Bish Falls in Mount Washington, but that's okay; I just like being around the fresh, cool falls.

Of all the years I have lived in Berkshire County, I'm still discovering new treasures, and one of them is the Twin Cascade Waterfalls near the eastern portal of the Hoosac Tunnel in Florida, MA. I don't know how I missed these falls in my youth, but I just recently learned about them. While I haven't visited the falls yet, I've watched a few videos on YouTube featuring them.

The waterfalls seem very peaceful and are quite the sight. I hope to check them out this summer. There was one particular video on YouTube where a father and his two children went to visit the Twin Cascades. In the video, you get to see the three of them hike the whole route to the falls and get an in-depth look at the cascades. Check out the video below.

In addition to the video, I found some official information about the Twin Cascades from the New England Waterfalls website, which you can check out here.

If you have some free time on a nice summer day, experiencing the Twin Cascades may be something you want to do. As mentioned in the video, they're beautiful, and you won't regret the experience.
