Thursday evening around 10:30 p.m., Pittsfield Police received the report of a disturbance involving a motor vehicle crash and multiple stabbing victims in the 700 block of Tyler Street in Pittsfield.

Responding officers encountered 2 stabbing victims and rendered medical aid with the assistance of bystanders, Pittsfield Fire Department, and County Ambulance.

The victims were transported to Berkshire Medical Center with serious injuries, and are currently both in stable condition.

Patrol Officers and Detectives identified the suspect as Joshua Lofink, age 36, of Pittsfield.

On Friday at 12:22 p.m., Mr. Lofink was taken into custody by members of the Patrol Division, Anti-Crime Unit, and Detective Bureau.

He is charged with:

 Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (2 counts)

 Vandalizing Property (vehicle tires) (2 counts)

Mr. Lofink is expected to be arraigned in Central Berkshire District Court on Friday afternoon.
