Pittsfield Ward 1 Councilor Helen Moon says she likes to give more than 100 percent in everything that she does, and she can no longer give that to her constituents or to the city as a whole.

Slater had caught up with Moon after she recently posted a video to her social media account announcing that she is not seeking re-election for a third term.

Slater: So why did you decide not to run again?

Slater: What will Ward 1 residents miss most about you?

Slater: Did you find the job harder than expected?

Slater: How is your relationship with Mayor Tyer and did that influence your decision?

Slater: Why is it important to you to have a woman of color replace you?

Moon joins Ward 3 councilor Nick Caccamo, Ward 4 councilor Chris Connell, and Ward 2 councilor Kevin Morandi as city councilors not seeking re-election in 2021.

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
