Donald Trump demanded $2000 checks for every qualifying American in a last-minute effort to get pandemic financial relief before he left office.

In addition to getting the vaccine into people's arms, President Joe Biden is hoping that his $1.9 trillion dollar, (including another $1400 for most Americans), package will pass.

But what if Congress combined the two? Like, a lil incentive to give folks on the fence about the vaccine a little push?

Representative Steve Stivers is suggesting that Congress tie the stimulus money to getting the coronavirus vaccine.

The Ohio Republican told Yahoo Finance that the $1,400 payments should go to people who get the vaccine. He said, "I hope the administration will look at that option because we actually buy something with our $1,400 -- and that’s herd immunity". -Yahoo Finance

Most Republicans aren't in favor of more spending; however, Stivers thought is that the only way to a better economy is herd immunity.

That's why I'd be willing to accept a $1,400 stimulus check if people are willing to take the vaccine -Steve Stivers

Can the U.S buy herd immunity? Is this bribery? Quid pro quo? Or, is this a good idea?
