Every Wednesday at 8:30 Slater and I are joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.

Meet Fergie, a year old American Pit Bull Terrier mix.  Fergie came to the shelter because her previous owners no longer had time for her. This sweet girl loves everyone she meets and has been exposed to small kids and big people and gets along with everyone. She's working on self control as she gets excited when she sees friends and can tend to jump, but I'm improving daily.  She's housetrained as long as she gets regular outings and is currently working on leash walking on her easy-walk body harness.

Fergie is definitely energetic which means she'll require walks, hikes, and playtime! SH would appreciate occupiers when left home alone, something like a stuffed kong or bone would great!
