Early yesterday morning, sources close to Live 95.9 reported a robbery at Palmer's Market in Pittsfield at the intersection of Holmes Rd and Elm St.

The Pittsfield Police Department via The Berkshire Eagle confirmed that there was indeed an armed robbery attempt that took place Wednesday at the southeast convenience store.

Just before 7 a.m., a masked female entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money according to Pittsfield Police Lt. Gary Traversa. Fortunately, no one was injured, no money was taken and the suspect fled on foot. The investigation is ongoing.
