Berkshire Attraction is Top 5 in "Things To Do" in Massachusetts

Spring in Massachusetts is a time to get outside and start exploring the beauty that living in New England and the Berkshires has to offer. In Massachusetts, we are blessed to have so many amazing attractions that run the gambit from serene coastlines to the jagged edge of a mountain top.

The Stacker website recently published the "Highest Rated Things To Do In Massachusetts" based on results from Tripadvisor. The list contains 30 different locations that you may have already spent time exploring in the past and many that just might get you intrigued enough to explore this spring or summer.

The Massachusetts coastline is well represented from a number of locations on Cape Cod including Commercial Street in Provincetown, the Cape Cod Rail Trail, Chatham Lighthouse Beach, the Whaling Museum, and a host of others. Up the coast to the hard-working fishing town of Gloucester makes the list with the iconic Fisherman’s Memorial Monument and the Hammond Castle.

There are lots to discover in Boston and the Stacker/Tripadvisor list does not disappoint. With the Museum of Fine Arts, MIT, Harvard’s Museum of Natural History, and the Freedom Trail. The list compiles 30 different locations in Massachusetts and #1 on the list is Fenway Park in Boston.

Where the list does come up a bit short is locations to explore in the western part of the state. Making the list was the Springfield Museums which is comprised of 4 museums coving art, science, history, and the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden. Making the top 5 at #4 of the Stacker/Tripadvisor Highest Rated Things to Do in Massachusetts is the Mohawk Trail. The scenic drive in the northern part of Berkshire County is one of the most beautiful places in New England. The stretch of Rt. 2 along the Mohawk Trail is breathtaking. Especially in the spring with the fast-moving Hoosic River from the melting snow from the higher elevations.
