Every Wednesday at 8:30 we're joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.

This week's Pet of the Week is Gracie, is a beautiful 3-year-old domestic medium hair cat. Gracie was brought in to Berkshire Humane Society last fall after her previous owner had abandoned her in the summer.

Gracie has never lived with children, so probably would do best in a home with older children and adults. She does not get along with dogs. If you are interested in adopting this black beauty, please call Berkshire Humane Society’s feline department at 413-447-7878, extension 124.

LOOK: Here Are 30 Foods That Are Poisonous to Dogs

Even with all of these resources, however, the best cure for food poisoning is preventing it in the first place. To give you an idea of what human foods can be dangerous, Stacker has put together a slideshow of 30 common foods to avoid. Take a look to see if there are any that surprise you.
