Whether you were born and raised in Massachusetts, or are a transplant to the best state in New England, you know all it has to offer.

Massachusetts boasts a strong economy, affordable living, excellent public schools, and an overall high quality of life. The state has been highlighted as one of the best states to live in the US several times, but publications like US News and World Reports, Niche, and CBS News.

So we know Massachusetts is a great, safe place to live, but like everything in life, sometimes there's a few bad apples. And sometimes those bad apples take a hilarious mug shots. Two Webster, Massachusetts residents did just that.

According to a post on social media, around 3:50 p.m. on June 11th, Webster Police officers responded to Memorial Beach to handle a group of intoxicated beachgoers causing a scene. When they arrived, the open containers and lakeside drinking were hard to miss, and one officers struck up a conversation with a man and woman at a picnic table, but and it was obvious one of them didn't want the party to end.
Jonathan Boutilette, 34 of Dudley, was feeling the effects of the afternoon, he kept the disturbance going right in front of the officers, after reports that he had already tried to pick a fight with another beachgoer earlier.
Despite warnings from several bystanders, one of which was an off-duty officer from out of town, Boutilette continue causing a scene right in front of families with young kids, That's when officer's decided it was time to wrap up his beach day and placed him under arrest.
Meanwhile, other woman with Boutilette initially gave officers a fake name, however officers eventually figured out she was actually Mary Madden, who had an active warrant out for her arrest.
The duo's beach shenanigans ultimately landed them in booking, where they posed for some hilariously joyful, grinning mugshots. They almost seem happy to have been arrested, you really can't make this up.
Jonathan Boutilette, was charged with possession of an Open Container of Alcohol, Disturbing the Peace and Disorderly Conduct. Mary Madden, of Worcester, was taken in on an arrest warrant from the Marlborough District Court for Failure to Appear.

While it probably wasn't much fun for the responding officers to deal with, the mug shots are an instant classic.
