When you're a multi-platinum rapper worth millions, where do you go for your groceries? If you're Cardi B, the answer is Star Market.

First it was the rumors that Cardi B was moving to Massachusetts, then the Stefon Diggs alleged strangulation story comes out just after the Patriots make it to the playoffs, and now Cardi is spotted in Dedham!

A Massachusetts woman got the surprise of her life on New Year's Day when she walked into her local Star Market and bumped into the rapper casually shopping in the produce section.

Lanasia Bentley shared the encounter in a now-viral TikTok video, saying she'd just finished brunch and stopped by the grocery store for a few items when something felt off.

"I noticed a big Cadillac truck with New York plates parked outside the front of the grocery," Bentley said. "I'm like, who is parked outside thinking they own the place?" -masslive.com

Then, while browsing the fruit section, she spotted a security guard standing nearby. That's when it clicked.

"I look over and I see Cardi B," Bentley said.

Moving to Massachusetts

Cardi B, who currently lives in New Jersey, is reportedly moving to Easton, Massachusetts (or has moved) with her boyfriend, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs. That explains why the rapper was doing her own grocery shopping in the area, she's becoming a local.

Easton, MA is an affluent town just east of Mansfield and Foxborough where the Patriots play.

Not in the Mood, But Still Gracious

Bentley said Cardi "was not in the mood" but still agreed to take a photo when asked.
"She was like, 'Come on girl,'" Bentley recalled. "So I took the picture with her quick and I said enjoy your time out here in Boston!"

Bentley said the interaction left a lasting impression. "She definitely is very sweet and nice even though she was not in the mood. It was a very nice celebrity experience, and I love her."
