Every Wednesday at 8:30 we're joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.
June is Adopt a Cat Month and in that spirit, this week's Pet of the Week is Hazel. Hazel is a beautiful 2-year-old tortoiseshell, domestic shorthair cat who arrived at Berkshire Humane Society because her owner could no longer care for her.
Hazel can be a bit shy to start, but once she gets to know you, she loves attention! Hazel enjoys chin scratches and will gladly take kitty treats and return the love with a “head boop”. She has lived indoors only and is OK with children as well as dogs, but no other cats please as she prefers to be the resident diva.
Hazel is described by the staff as sweet, quiet and the “queen bee”. If you’re looking for a lovely addition to your household, be sure to inquire about Hazel today!
As previously mentioned, June is Adopt a Cat Month and Berkshire Humane Society is offering the opportunity to win a raffle basket. Keeping in theme, this brand new litterbox full of cat supplies to everyone who adopts a cat or kitten during the month of June. Each adopter can also pull a fuzzy mouse out of a fishbowl as each mouse has a prize listed on the bottom—whatever you pull, you win that day! Prizes include a discounted adoption fee or a cat toy, treats, toys and more.
