Berkshire Humane Society Pet of the Week: Meet Moose
There is a lot to love about living in Massachusetts. From its iconic Cape Cod beaches to the bustling Boston metro area to the peaceful hills of the Berkshires, there is something for everyone in Massachusetts.
This week's Pet of the Week is Moose, a 2.5-year-old Shepherd mix who is sure to keep you entertained! A sweet boy with a comical personality, Moose is an overall good boy who is looking for an active home to call his own.
Unfortunately, Moose wasn’t getting along with the other dog in his prior home, so now he’ll need a new home where he’ll be the only pet.
Some of Moose’s favorite activities include going on walks, spending time with his people, and doing “zoomies” with a tennis ball. Due to his energy level, he’ll need an active owner who would enjoy taking him on adventures, including hiking, running, and playing until his heart’s content. If he doesn’t receive the proper amount of exercise, he’ll be sure to come up with his own ways to amuse himself. So, he’ll need someone dedicated to keeping him active.
Moose is fully house-trained and could live in a home with children aged 10+. He can be a tad reactive to other dogs while out on his walks, but Berkshire Humane Society’s kennel staff have been working with him on this and he’s been making great progress.
If you think Moose may be a good fit for your family, please reach out to the kennel staff at (413)-447-7878 ext. 126 for more information on how to meet him and potentially take him home.
