Among the many attractions Berkshire County has to offer, one of the big ones is live music. Whether it's the popular artist series at Tanglewood with big names performing this year, like James Taylor, Paul Simon, and even Weird Al Yankovic, or some of the best local talent we have that will be perfoming at outdoor venues including Live on the Lake at Onota Lake in Pittsfield, Sounds of Summer at the Great Barrington VFW and Party on the Park at Noel Field in North Adams, Berkshire summers are always packed with live music.

Speaking of live music, John Waite, who is known for his time with The Babys, Bad English, and his successful solo career, will be making a stop in the Berkshires this summer. You can catch the music legend at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington on Thursday, July 16, at 8 pm.

Classics like "Missing You" (solo), "When I See You Smile" (Bad English), and "Isn't it Time" (The Babys) will be sure to win over the audience and take you back in time to some of the best decades for music.

Years ago, I interviewed John when he was performing at Infinity Music Hall in Norfolk, CT. You couldn't have asked for a nicer guy. He was so courteous on the phone and made the interview fantastic. He, along with Bret Michaels of Poison, is one of my top interviews when it comes to the professional music world. If you go to see him this summer, hopefully you get a chance to meet him. John is a great guy. You can get more details about the show, including ticket information, here.
