One of my first concerts ever was Aerosmith and it solidified what (even at the age of 15) I already knew, they rock.  Old, sure, maybe a little tired, probably, but they still put on one hell of a show.  They are one of those bands that transcends time and with their latest announcement, generations of all ages will get to see them live just a short drive from The Berkshires.

While normally you'd need to drive to New York or Boston to see a headliner like this, the MGM Springfield has confirmed that Steven Tyler and the rest of the band will perform four nights this August at the MassMutual Center which the downtown casino has partnered with since the MGM's opening.

The Boston bread band will take the stage August 21, 24, 26, and 29 to help celebrate the casino's first anniversary. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m., but pre sale tickets will be available to MLife members Thursday at 10 a.m. Tickets range from $89 - $499, but at the smaller 5,500 seat venue there's really not a bad seat.

We are thrilled to announce Aerosmith as part of our one-year anniversary celebrations for MGM Springfield.  This reaffirms our commitment to energizing the city and enriching the downtown scene. Aerosmith got their start in the Commonwealth, so it’s only fitting that we would bring back these New England rockers for four incredible performance in the heart of the region
