Last summer, Michelin-stared Chef Daniel Boulud opened a pop-up restaurant at Blantyre which was so successful he's committed to a long-term residency at the luxury Lenox resort.

Cafe Boulud at Blantyre started as a pop-up for the summer of 2020, but after locals and visitors alike flocked to try the seasonal menu, Boulud decided to extend their stay through February of 2021. Last week Blantyre announced Chef Boulud committed to a long-term residency at the Berkshire County resort. Guests will be able to enjoy the seasonal menu, developed by Boulud and Executive Chef Ethan Koelbel, which showcases innovative French classics highlighting the freshest local ingredients.

World-renowned Chef Daniel Boulud adds The Berkshires to his portfolio of global dining destinations including restaurants in New York City, Dubai, The Bahamas, and Singapore among others.

Last summer a small group of friends and I got to experience Cafe Boulud first hand and the visit did not disappoint. For a foodie like me getting to enjoy food from a Michelin-star chef minutes from my front door was an absolute treat. If you're not obsessed with culinary greatness like myself, Michelin stars are the ultimate hallmark of culinary excellence. They are awarded to restaurants deemed to be of the highest standard. Eateries that make the grade can be awarded one, two, or three stars, and the accolade is coveted by chefs around the world.

Chef Boulud has also received countless James Beard Awards, another prestigious honor in the culinary field.
