October Mountain Shooting Leaves One Injured

A young male was found in October Mountain State Forrest early this morning with life threatening injuries, believed to be from a gun shot wound.

According to News 10 in Albany, Massachusetts State Police responded to a reported shooting in a wooded area of New Lenox Road at Ashley Lake in Washington this morning around 1 a.m. Upon arrival, troopers found a young identified man suffering what are believed to be life threatening injuries.  The victim was transported to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. The assailant is believed to have fled the area.
