My son, Liam, loves music videos on YouTube. Although he prefers to watch Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" like, all the time, I started introducing him to the '90s. When I fired up "Runaway Train" from Soul Asylum, Liam found it to be a dirge; however, my wife absolutely loved it (yes, this was her first time hearing it).

I was officially into the YouTube maze at this point. The '90s baby! Tons of great '90s songs were being suggested, song after song. I wound up listening to Toad The Wet Sprocket's "All I Want". Wow, what a great band, very underrated. At this point, I decided to throw up a '90s underrated bands question on Facebook, and it went crazy!

From hardly underrated bands like Gin Blossoms and The Offspring, to several unknowns like Pavement and Sugar, it was quite entertaining to read the lengthy thread. Being a Xennial, the new category of people being born between 1977 and 1983, music from the '90s means so much to me. I highly recommend Oasis, oh, and Toad The Wet Sprocket.

Don't miss Marjo's '90s at Noon, one full hour of '90s throwbacks, weekdays, on Live 95.9!
