Pet of the Week: All The Birds
Every Wednesday at 8:30 we're joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.
This week's Pet of the Week isn't just one animal, but rather ALL the birds who are temporarily living on Baker Rd.
Berkshire Humane Society is now Birdland after 17 birds were surrendered to the shelter due to the health of their owner. They have several varieties of birds including parakeets, society finches, parrots, conures, doves, and 31-year-old Blanche the cockatoo, pictured here.
If you are interested in a bird and want to know what is available, please call our small animal department at 413-447-7878, extension 124.
Here's a peek at some of the other feathered friends looking for their forever home.
The Berkshire Humane Society is now back open to the public for regular hours.
