Every Wednesday at 8:30 we're joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.

The week's Pet of the Week is Harley, a 7-year-old spayed female mixed breed. John talked about her last month and she was adopted, but then returned to Berkshire Humane because she did not get along with the children in her new home. When people adopt an animal from BHS, they agree that they will return the animal directly to the shelter if it doesn’t work out. This way, BHS can ensure that they find the most suitable forever home for the pet, rather than the animal be passed from home to home. It’s also important for adopters to bring everyone in their household or who may interact with a pet to the shelter when meeting the animal before adoption.

Harley is a bit shy at first but warms up when she gets to know you. She should be the only pet in the household without young children. Staff are hoping to find a good home for this sweet girl!

The Berkshire Humane Society is now open to the public, adhering to all state guidelines.
