Pittsfield Fire Department Open House on October 3

The Pittsfield Fire Department is opening the doors Saturday, October 3. Headquarters at 74 Columbus Avenue. 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Bring the kids. They will have fire prevention activities and a chance to learn some simple life safety habits that actually matter at home.

The Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office will be there too. Free child safety ID kits and fingerprinting for kids.

There will be free refreshments. Domino’s, Premium Waters, Bartlett’s Orchard, and Carr Hardware all donated. A solid local lineup!

Smokey Bear and Sparky the Fire Dog will make the rounds.

A few other public safety agencies will be on site for a touch-a-truck. Every kid who shows up gets fire prevention freebies.

This kicks off Fire Prevention Week, which runs October 4 through 10.
