According to The Berkshire Eagle, the Pittsfield location of Price Rite Supermarket will close its doors on September 30.

Little information is known at this point, but a spokeswoman for the company did confirm that Dalton Ave grocer would be closing at the end of next month, but did not give any specifics aside from the fact that it was a "very difficult decision."

The Pittsfield Price Rite just held a Grand Reopening back in January of this year, unveiling a fresh new look and promising a new shopping experience for customers. The supermarket chain is continuing to roll out its redesigned stores concept focused on deep discounts and fresh foods after successful store rebrands in Connecticut, Maryland, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, and other Massachusetts locations.
