Sunday's weather was supposed to be a bit on the cool side, however, it turned out to be gorgeous and a perfect day to take the kids to "Pumpkin Fest" at Whitney's Farm Market in Cheshire.

"Pumpkin Fest" runs through October 31 with some great outdoor family activities.

THE HAYRIDE

We started out with a complimentary hayride, a nice little jaunt around the pumpkins for sale at Whitney's. This was fun and relaxing. (Not an actual Whitney's photo).

THE HAUNTED CORN MAZE

Next up was the haunted corn maze, according to my children and nephew, this was kinda scary. Zombies and ghosts were plenty in the maze. Cool stuff! (Not an actual Whitney's photo).

THE GIANT SLIDE

This is where I had some trouble. So, Liam and his cousin, Jackson, had no issue climbing the "Giant Slide", but my three-year-old, Olli, had some trouble.

This thing is pretty steep and Olli needed some help, so I took my shoes off (required) and helped him up the "ladder".

The "rungs", so to speak, are like thick pieces of rope that really don't have a ton of depth to them, like they don't come off the slide far enough or deep enough.

DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THE HELL I'M TALKING ABOUT?

I literally thought I was gonna tumble backward and end up on AFV. I had to squeeze the sides of the inflatable slide just to get to the top, it was quite embarrassing but it made for a funny story on the radio on Monday morning. I just couldn't believe how difficult it was to get to the top! (Cue Marjo eye roll)...

We made it to the top, however, and slid down all smiles!
