A winter weather advisory is in effect for Berkshire County starting Monday at 7 p.m. through Tuesday at 1 p.m.

The Weather Channel calling for the following.

Monday:

Variably cloudy with snow showers. High 28F. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 50%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.

Monday evening:

A wintry mix. Low 27F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precip 100%. Snow and ice accumulating 1 to 3 inches.

Tuesday:

Rain early...then remaining cloudy with showers in the afternoon. High 39F. ESE winds shifting to W at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 100%.

Tuesday evening:

A few clouds. Low 13F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph.

So, this system doesn't look to be a huge snow maker; however, ice could be an issue when temps go down to 13 on Tuesday night.

Monday is President's Day (Washington's Birthday), a federal holiday. Schools, banks, and the USPS are all closed today.
