With the elimination of an analog signal and the need for cable boxes, (digital adapters), to be hooked up to each TV viewing cable, Spectrum has been the talk of conversation lately.

The following is a statement from the Office of the Mayor.

There will be a public hearing at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 19th at the Berkshire Athenaeum, 1 Wendell Ave in Pittsfield, on Spectrum Cable’s recent programming changes, some of which are specific to the City of Pittsfield. A representative from Spectrum is expected to attend the meeting.

In the past months, the cable network has enacted several programming changes which have resulted in some concern among residents. A Cable Franchise Agreement is currently in place between the City of Pittsfield and Time Warner (Spectrum’s predecessor).
