‘Super Troopers 2’ Red-Band Trailer: International Diplomacy at Its Finest (Also, a Bear)
When an international border dispute arises between the U.S. and one of her neighbors, one would think the governments of both countries would send along their best diplomats to negotiate the peace. Unless, that is, they have a team of state troopers on reserve to hop across the border and chat up their Mountie counterparts. Essentially, this is the plot of Super Troopers 2, the completely crowdsourced sequel to the stoner cult classic.
The Broken Lizard gang is back at it, suited up in their tan short-sleeves and ready to keep the peace between America and Canada. We have the usual sort of Canada jokes in here: Mounties, weird accents, a bear, two guys yelling French phrases like “grey poupon” and “Les Miserables” at each other.
Here’s the official plot synopsis:
Everyone's favorite law enforcement team is back by popular demand with the long anticipated follow up to the cult comedy classic…SUPER TROOPERS. When an international border dispute arises between the U.S. and Canada, the Super Troopers- Mac, Thorny, Foster, Rabbit and Farva, are called in to set up a new Highway Patrol station in the disputed area. Unconventional police work follows, and the result is…SUPER TROOPERS 2.
Super Troopers 2 hits theaters on (naturally) April 20. When else could it possible be released?
