According to The Berkshire Eagle a woman was shot Tuesday afternoon outside a Kent Ave home.

Around 1:45 this afternoon the city's ShotSpotter system picked up five gunshots at 14 Kent Ave, a short distance away from the street's intersection with North St. No shell casings have been recovered.

One woman was taken to Berkshire Medical Center with gunshot wounds that were not believed to be life-threatening according to Pittsfield Police.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made, but shortly after shots were fired police stopped a vehicle on Union Street that is the same make and model of that witnesses say was involved in the shooting. Witnesses also told police there was an argument in the area shortly before the shooting.
