The City of Pittsfield is pleased to announce that the ice rink at Wahconah Park, located at 105 Wahconah Street is now open. This new outdoor, lighted ice rink will offer a fun and welcoming space for skating, recreation, and community gatherings.

The rink is open to skaters of all ages from dawn to dusk each day but may be closed at times for maintenance of the ice. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, the city has established rules when using the ice rink.

The City of Pittsfield is thankful for all the funders and partners who were essential to the implementation of this project including the Feigenbaum Foundation, the Jane and Jack Fitzpatrick Trust, Mill Town Foundation, Berkshire Bank Foundation, Pittsfield Cooperative Bank, Massachusetts Office of Outdoor Recreation and Alex Regen.

  • Skates are required at all times while on ice.
  • Helmets and protective safety gear are strongly recommended for all on-ice activities.
  • Skating that endangers or interferes with other skaters’ safety or pleasure is prohibited.
  • Keep all food and beverages off the ice – glass containers strictly prohibited.
  • Follow any posted schedules on this page below.
  • Obey instructions given by City of Pittsfield staff or volunteers.
  • Please be courteous and share the ice.
  • No sitting on or climbing over the rink walls.
  • No hockey sticks or pucks on the ice during open skate hours.
  • No skateboards, razor scooters, rollerblades or bicycles inside the rink.
  • Do not chip or throw any ice.
  • Do not skate at excessive speed, weave through other skaters, or cut across the middle of the rink.
  • Do not skate in chains of more than two people.
  • No smoking, drinking or eating on the ice.
  • Do not congregate at the entrance of the rink.
  • Do not bring any pets onto the ice rink.
