As we saw the novel coronavirus spread across China and into European countries like Italy and Spain, we were flooded with images and stories of the dramatic reduction in air and water pollution. Crystal clear water in Venice canals almost looked fake. Maps showing the air quality improving over China in just a month's time was unbelievable.

Now, just a few short weeks later as the United States adapts quarantine measures across the country, we are beginning to see impressive improvements in air quality and pollution as well.

It would be amazing to see these positive changes to our planet stick around. While we all want to return to whatever normal is as soon as possible, hopefully, we can remember what a big difference was made in a short period of time. Maybe think about biking to work or starting a carpool? Small changes from everyone could make a huge difference.
