James Taylor has been known to perform summer after summer at Tanglewood in the Town of Lenox -- a place he now calls home -- but Tuesday night, he got to sing at Fenway Park before Game 1 of the World Series.

Prior to the Red Sox defeating the Dodgers 8-4 in the Fall Classic opener, Taylor performed the National Anthem right behind home plate. "The legendary James Taylor", as he was announced, performed the song in the style we have been accustomed to.

If you missed the performance, we have you covered -- courtesy of Major League Baseball's YouTube page.

Game 2 takes place Wednesday night at Fenway Park with the Boston Pops performing the National Anthem, while the ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by members of the 2004 world champion Red Sox team, including Pedro Martinez.
