Everyone's favorite staple of fall in Western Massachusetts, The Big E, is right around the corner and a burning question need to be answered: What new food are we going to see this year?

We all love the staples, fried Oreo's, corn dogs, turkey legs and of course the classic Big E cream puff, but half the fun each year is to see the new treats vendors come up with.

Big E Cream Puffs can now be topped with chocolate ganache! Watch as they are created right before your eyes in the state-of-the-art bakery inside the New England Center. It’s also home to the popular Big Eclairs. Cream Puffs can also be found at Gate 9A and in the Food Court.

Chompers will have a Chicken Bacon & Cheese Chomper with a buffalo ranch dipping sauce. Check out their new location outside Farm-A-Rama.

The Deep South Company on Industrial Avenue adds two new items to their menu, a variety of fried cheeses with dipping sauces and classic New Orleans-style brick oven pizzas.

Moolicious on Springfield Road will have new Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Sandwiches.

Stella’s Milk & Cookies inside Gate 9A has a sweet treat of gourmet flavored frozen or hot chocolate.

The Coffee Break in the Food Court with a Deep Fried Pineapple Upside Down Cake on a Stick.

Get your deep fried Brussels spout fix at EB’s in the Food Court.

Two new drinks drink offerings will please the 21+ crowd. Try a Blueberry Lemon Sangria at the Sangria Shack near the Flag Plaza. Visit the Craft Cocktail Bar in the Young Building and order a V-One Friesling, made with Washington State Riesling, V-One Vodka and peach puree.

Stop by Porky’s Barbeque on Commonwealth Avenue for the new Barbeque Split, as seen on Carnival Eats, with mashed potato, pulled pork and beef brisket topped with two St. Louis ribs, cherry tomatoes and a drizzle of BBQ sauce.

The Chocolate Moonshine Company will have artisan chocolates in a variety of flavors in the Better Living Center.

Gertrude’s Pretzel on Springfield Road will serve up homemade giant pretzels plus pretzel-wrapped 1/4lb. Nathan’s hot dog or 10” bratwurst.

Get your Midwest on with a taste of Hot Wisconsin Cheese. Find deep fried cheddar, mozzarella, jalapeno and Swiss cheeses plus Swiss cheese is coated in rye batter and deep fried on a stick on Springfield Road.

The Souper Bowl on New England Avenue will have a variety of soups in bread bowls.

Looking for something healthy? Try the homemade hummus, falafel, chicken gyro, baklava and spanakopita from Noujaim’s Mediterranean Foods at the Big E Bistro in the Young Building.
