My husband Scott and I have always been Dog People. When we first came here to the Berkshires we brought with us Buddy.  His daddy was an AKC Labrador retriever and his mom was an AKC Golden retriever. He was a handsome dog with tons of personality.

We also had PJ which was short for Princess Jewel, our daughter named her that. PJ's dog mom was a big red chow with a big mane and purple tongue. We had them for around twelve years. PJ didn't have his "mommas mane but had the purple tongue.

We lost Buddy first and the PJ Passed a month after him. Scott was torn up and did not want to get another dog, which went on for years.

Then a few months ago Scott started talking about getting a dog, he wanted a big dog (buddy weighed over 100 pounds) I said smaller would be better. So what happened next makes you think that there are certain paths in your life that you might not have control of but, turns out to be an awesome thing.

A couple of folks we know who were going to move out to the midwest were just going for the weekend to check the area out. They asked if we could watch their dog, Pablo.

I was more hesitant than Scott was in watching the dog for the weekend. By the end of the weekend before they came back even he pretty much was already ours, My Husband Scott said to me would we like to keep the dog the owners don't want to take him out there. I was surprised, this is the man who wanted a big dog, a puppy so he could train him, Scott is awesome with dog training.

We had a nice ending to this, or should I say beginning? We have had Pablo the chihuahua since September and it was the best thing we could have ever done.

Pablo is one smart cookie, he is an adult dog, but loves it when he has Scott chase him around the living room. He is a sweet loving dog who likes his cuddle naps, he literally will take his blanket and get the covers just right in his dog bed, it reminds me of a bird making a nest.

Pablo and Scott have a super relationship. Scott was saying to me the other night how much happiness Pablo Brought into our lives. There is always a reason on the road you take and what wonderful surprises are in store for us.
