While fireworks are often a staple of the summer months, they are also a great way to warm up a winter night.

The Office of Cultural Pittsfield, the same fine folks that bring you Third Thursday and numerous other community events, are happy to announce the date for the 2020 Winter Fireworks display.

Saturday, Feb. 22 The 10x10 Winter Arts Festival will culminate in a ten-minute winter fireworks display at The Common on First Street. The event is free and open to the public and a great way to get the family outside during the winter months.

This year Berkshire United Way will join the event for a family fun afternoon before the show.

The fireworks were generously sponsored by Greylock Federal Credit Union and will begin as soon as the sun goes down. Event organizers are recommending people arrive at 6 pm so as not to miss any of the ten-minute display. A rain date has been set for the following day, Sunday, Feb 23.
