When "Stranger Things" was all the hype at the beginning of 2016 and won several Emmy's, I simply could not ignore this Netflix series anymore, despite that fact that I HATE anything SCI-FI! "Back To The Future" was as sci-fi as I got, but this was different. So, here are three reasons I'm obsessed with this show.

    '80s Music Is Awesome

The first season takes place in 1983 and the Duffer Brothers do an exceptional job showcasing music from the EARLY '80s. It was awesome to see Will Byers and his brother, Jonathan, cranking "Should I Stay or Should I Go'' by The Clash. From there, the series goes on to highlight other smash hits from 1983, including "I'll Melt With You" by Modern English.

    '80s Cars Are Awesome

Chief Hopper's 1980 Chevy K5 Blazer, Steve Harrington's 1981 BMW 733i and corrupt government workers' 1982 Ford LTD Crown Victoria are a few examples of the series keeping everything in line with how it was during that time in history. Plus, rear-wheel drive being displayed is pure AWESOMENESS!

    More '80's Nostalgia

No detail was spared in the making of "Stranger Things". From the busy wallpaper in people's homes, the Reagan/Bush '84 lawn signs, "Ghostbusters" costumes and Steve Harrington's haircut come to mind. In addition, the names Nancy and Barb, cigarettes, the Pac-Man video game, Wayfarers, Sean Astin's role in the show -  it goes on and on.

The acting is really, really good! I really enjoy "Stranger Things" and if you haven't checked it out for yourself, I highly recommend that you do.
