Whether it's a treat or to blow off some stress, every now and then sitting back and enjoying a chocolate candy or candy bar is a must, and what better day to enjoy one than today?

You may be wondering, What's so special about today? Why do I need to eat some chocolate today? In case you didn't know, July 28 is National Milk Chocolate Day. According to the National Calendar Day website, the National Confectioners Association created National Milk Chocolate Day.

In addition, the website states that people have been adding milk to chocolate beverages since the mid-17th century. But in 1875, Daniel Peter invented milk chocolate by mixing a powdered milk developed by Henri Nestlé with the liquor. It's been milk chocolate bliss ever since.

Since today is National Milk Chocolate Day, you should feel no guilt or shame in enjoying your favorite milk chocolate treats, whether it's chocolate milk or your favorite candy bar, or, heck, living dangerously and enjoying both; it's a guilt-free day for chocolate. That's for sure.

By the way, in case you were wondering, the top chocolate candy brand, which you can find pretty much everywhere and anywhere that sells candy in Massachusetts, is Reese's Peanut Butter cups. This is no surprise to me. How about you?
