Ballina’s Liam Geddes Is Back In Pittsfield For Two Free Shows

When Pittsfield's sister city committee went to visit Ballina, Ireland, then celebrating 10 years as sister cities, Ballina native Liam Geddes, who at 17 years old, had just won X Factor UK. After having a chance to see Geddes perform, committee member Dick Stockwell was so impressed, he invited him back to the U.S. to perform at the Colonial Theatre (which, at the time, was about to be reopened).

On October 8, 2008, Liam Geddes made his American debut, playing to an almost sold out crowd. Since then, the now downtown Dublin resident, returns to Pittsfield at least once a year. Every year, for the last four years now, I get a phone call from Stockwell alerting me of Liam's return to the area.

Geddes was on air with us (Slater and Marjo) today for about 45 minutes. We took a trip down memory lane and talked about X Factor, plus all of Liam's latest achievements, even playing his latest single, "Real Love". Check it out for yourself at liamgeddesofficial.com
