Berkshire County Temperatures Could Hit 80F Next Week
Open burning season continues here in Massachusetts until May 1 and I would really enjoy a good bonfire this Easter Sunday; however due to the red flag warning, I must abstain!
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
The Easter Weekend forecast:
Saturday: Generally sunny. High 47F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday night: Partly cloudy. Low near 25F. Winds light and variable.
Sunday: Sunny. High 52F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.
Sunday night: Clear skies. Low 28F. Winds light and variable.
The good news is for lovers or warmer weather is that next Friday's forecast looks unseasonable mild.
Monday: Sunny. High 61F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.
Tuesday: Some sun in the morning with increasing clouds during the afternoon. High 66F. Winds W at 10 to 15 mph.
Wednesday: Partly to mostly cloudy. High 71F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.
Thursday: A mainly sunny sky. High 77F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.
Friday: Generally sunny despite a few afternoon clouds. High near 80F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.
