The 12U Berkshire Force Softball team captured the New England Regional Championship last Sunday, earning them a bid to represent the region in the Babe Ruth Softball World Series.

The 6-5 win over New Milford sends the group of 13 girls and coaches to Jensen Beach, Florida this weekend, to face off against the best teams from all over the world. The team consists of Emma Newberry, Lily Smith, Bella MacDonald, Madeleine Leoncini, Cheyann Goddard, Julia Pierce, Brodi Rosier, Kami Sweet, Brenna McNeice, Mia Arpante, Amanda Pou, Natalie Arnhold, Michaela Hinckley and coaches Jessica Glebus, Will Glebus, Rick Arpante and Brian MacDonald.

  • Coin Drop - Wednesday July 25

     Stop and Shop, Merrill Road in Pittsfield. From 10 am to 6 pm, team members will be collecting change outside the store. Any donation large or small helps!

  • Paint Party and Open Studio

    The Dirty Brush, North Street in Pittsfield, will host open studio hours Tuesday the 24th from 6 - 8 pm, and Thursday 10am - 1 pm, as well as a Thursday night Canvas Class. To sign up or for details, call 442-9300

  • Dine to Donate - Thursday July 26

    Patrick's Pub, Bank Row in Pittsfield. 20% of sales from Lunch (11:30 am - 2:30 pm), Dinner (4:30 pm - 10:30 pm) and Take-Out will be donated directly to the team. In addition to normal business hours, members of the team will be taking pre-order's for lunch delivery on Thursday. This night is the opening night for Tarzan at the Colonial Theatre and will likely be very busy between 5:30 to 7:30, so please plan accordingly.  Lunch delivery orders must be placed with Heather at 413-770-2746 by 2 p.m. Wednesday (25th)
