A local investment advisory firm known for their philanthropic work has stepped up again to help those in the Berkshire County Community.

Recognizing that foster families have been unsung heroes during this COVID era, a group of community members fueled by local business sponsors, including Berkshire Money Management, have created and distributed care packages for more than 200 area foster families. Each family received a gift bag with childrens masks sewn by members of the community, school and art supplies and a gift card to a local restaurant or grocery store, including Smokey Diva’s and Wohrle’s Foods in Pittsfield.

“I know so many foster families in the Berkshires who have opened their whole lives to vulnerable kids who are in need of supportive and loving homes,” says Nichole Dupont, BMM’s community development director. “So much extra pressure has been placed on these families as area schools and childcare centers have closed. We really want to encourage other businesses and organizations to look at the many unsung heroes in our community and show support in whatever ways they can.”

Berkshire Money Management has been and will continue to support our local community during these most difficult times. Thank you to all the individuals, businesses, and organizations who continue to step up for our friends, neighbors, and loved ones.

BMM is an independent investment advisory firm based in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. The firm offers digital investing, business valuation, estate and retirement planning, and Social Security and Medicare coaching. For more information please visit www.berkshiremm.com.
