Yes, you read that right. There is in fact such thing as a Clam Chowder popsicle, and no matter what accent you say it with, this CANNOT be good, right? Is there even a debate here?

Boston Magazine discovered this um, "unique" image on Reddit, which has apparently been making the rounds for a few days, almost immediately trending after it's Wednesday release.

While the magazine compares it to Fenway Park's Clam Chowder Poutine of 2017 (which I didn't even know was a thing and to be quite honest, I'm not mad at it) I just don't think you can compare this to anything. A dish such as Clam Chowder that New Englanders hold so near and dear to their hearts, needs one key element, HEAT! Cold, salty cream stuffed with frozen potatoes and clams literally does nothing for me, besides make me a little nauseous.  This culinary sin has also spawned a debate, which you'd rather eat; a Chowder Popsicle, or a Cold Hot Dog Pie. So many things to say about this.  Cold hot dog pie? I'm here for it. Not going to lie, there wasn't one second of hesitation in my answer. Also, how, in all my infinite love of hot dogs have I never heard of this pie? It's things like that the remind me how much more life I have to live.

Our few fleeting months of warmth here in the Northeast are meant to be celebrated classic foodie favorites like fresh lobster rolls, corn on the cob off the grill and cold summer craft beers, no the blasphemy that is the Clam Chowder Popsicle. I'm done, I have nothing more to say.
