Massachusetts’ Most Popular New Years Resolutions for 2025
Christmas is in the rearview mirror and Massachusetts is on to New Years Eve!
With the new year approaching it's a good time to reflect on what we can all do better in the coming year.
According to BetMassachusetts, Bay State resident's top New Year's resolutions might come as a surprise to some. Most other states selected the typical resolutions like losing weight, quitting smoking, etc (those things are still on the list) but Massachusett's top resolution was actually to take more vacations. Love it!
Most Americans don't even use all of their allotted vacation time, but studies say they really should. Research from across the U.S. shows that vacations make employees (aka people) happier, healthier, and better at their jobs. So this is a New Year's Resolution we can totally get on board with.
Using internet search trends, BetMassachusetts determined each state’s most popular New Year’s resolution.
We can determine that Massachusetts residents have a desire to do things more often, with traveling more often (89 search interest score) beating out learning and reading more.
Based on those totals, it’s safe to say that Massachusetts residents have their fair share of things that they want to work on come 2025, with no shortage of resolutions to choose from as January arrives at month’s end.
There are only two other states that want to prioritize their time off and travel in the new year and that would be our neighbors to the north in New Hampshire and residents of Wisconsin. Maybe this has something to do with the fact that all three of those states have some pretty serious winters and we're just looking for a little extra sunshine.
