Pet of the Week: Meet Hazel
Every Wednesday at 8:30 we're joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.
This week's Pet of the Week is Hazel, a 6-year old pit bull terrier mix who is up for adoption because her owner abandoned her. This sweet, sturdy girl has a big heart and she loves everyone she meets. Hazel is strong and has a prey drive, so a home without children and cats would be best for her. Hazel likes to play and likes other dogs, so could go home with another dog after a successful doggy introduction. Hazel has been a good girl spending time with staff in the back office at the shelter.
To learn more about Hazel and all the other pets looking for their forever home, contact the Berkshire Humane Society at 214 Barker Road in Pittsfield, or give the shelter a call at (413) 447-7878 ext 126.
Due to the rise in COVID-19 numbers locally, the Berkshire Humane Society is open and all services are available by appointment only for adoptions, surrenders, and our Pet Food Bank.
